The rape trial of Tim Omotoso, senior pastor of  Jesus Dominion International, based in Durban, South Africa, court case to re-start in July.

Omotoso is currently on trial at the Port Elizabeth high court for rape allegations and trafficking women from his church.


Omotoso Trial : Nigerian pastor accused of rape, sexual assault and racketeering.

He is alleged to have groomed his victims and began abusing them from the age of 14.

Omotoso, 60, and two church members, Lusanda Sulani and Zukiswa Sitho are facing 63 charges and 34.

Judge Mandela Makaula who presided the case reportedly recused himself from the rape trial of pastor Timothy Omotoso.

Mr. Omotoso’s lawyer Peter Daubermann accused the judge of being influenced following the first witness, Cheryl Zondi.

Cheryl Zondi, 22, accused Omotoso of sexually abusing her over a period of two and a half years

The trial will to resume on 30 July and a new judge is yet to be announced, Cheryl Zondi will also have to testify in court again.
