A Chinese woman bought a brand new car with bags of change equalling to £15,000.

The store staff were 17 at the scene counting the change she bought in for several days until the balance was complete.

The management of the store was flabbergasted when the lady came in with 66 bags of coins to pay for her new car.

She initially placed an order to buy a Volkswagen Passat costing 190,000 yuan (£21,700) in Cangzhou city, Hebei province.

The shop was loaded with heavy bags of coins and it took three separate trips to bring it all in.

Footage was released from the shop on Saturday showing a dozen workers on the floor sorting the pile of change by hand, totaling 130,000 yuan (£15,000).

A  team of 17 workers were counting the change for three days, according to store manager Mr Jiao.
